BUILD's mission is to engage at-risk youth in the schools and on the streets, so they can realize their educational and career potential and contribute to the stability, safety and well being of our communities. BUILD provides coordinated services that assess youth needs, identify their assets, assist them to set goals, involve them in our programs and refer them as needed, to our community partners. The BUILD organization provides programming in the following areas: Prevention- Promotes positive youth development by equipping youth with the life skills necessary to resist the lure of street gangs, violence, and drugs. Intervention- Designed to reduce youth violence in targeted high schools. Intervention Specialists seek solutions, mediate disputes, and encourage education. BUILDing Futures Through workshops and individual counseling and support, BUILDing Futures assist at-risk students, develop, and implement plans for post-secondary education and career.
