College Algebra 458102R Regular Career Ed, Elective, Advanced Math (*for Pre 9th Grade Algebra/Geometry students) This course is designed to build confidence and encourage an appreciation for mathematics in students who do not anticipate a need for mathematics in their future studies. Students will examine functions, statistics and trigonometry using various tools, including graphing calculators and math software. Students should expect to engage in technical writing and discourse around the following types of functions: linear, quadratic, exponential, logarithmic, trigonometric, circular, polynomial and rational; additional topics are probability, binomial and normal distributions, and sequences and series.
